Team work, definitely makes the dream work!
Behind the Scenes of My Latest Bradford Photoshoot
Hello lovely readers! Thank you so much for your patience — this blog took a little longer to post than I planned, but trust me, it’s worth the wait!
For those who may not know, a collaboration photoshoot is when a few creative professionals come together to bring a shared vision to life — something we can all use for our portfolios and social media. It’s such a fun and rewarding way to showcase our skills, creativity, and teamwork.
As an award winning female photographer in Bradford who specialises in portrait photoshoots, bridal photography, and event photography, newborn photographer, and many more, I love using collaborations like this to challenge myself creatively. It’s the perfect opportunity to experiment with lighting, styling, and different poses — while also highlighting the talents of the amazing professionals I work with.
When working on a collaboration, it’s so important to make sure that the quality and artistry of each professional — including your own — shines through every single photo and video. Your audience will always have their opinions, whether positive or critical, so you’ve got to embrace feedback and keep growing from it.
The Bradford Collaboration at Kashmiri Aroma
You might remember my recent bridal photoshoot collaboration with two incredible professionals that took place at a charming venue in Bradford called Kashmiri Aroma. The moment I stepped inside, I instantly knew this was the perfect place to bring my vision to life.
I imagined a soft glam bridal look paired with a flowing gown that would complement the elegant stage décor of the venue beautifully. I was also eager to capture some portrait photos outdoors at Lister Park, Bradford, to balance the indoor shots with a touch of nature.
Since our Muse was naturally stunning, we decided to keep the look subtle yet camera-ready — because as every portrait photographer knows, makeup needs that little extra pop to show up perfectly in photos and videos!
Featuring Anam Khan MUA
Our talented makeup artist, Anam Khan, was an absolute star throughout the shoot. She created a flawless soft glam look — glittery eyes, natural pink lips, and just the right amount of definition for the camera. She even styled the Muse’s hair herself, creating a simple yet elegant finish that worked perfectly for both bridal portraits and close-up portrait photoshoots.
Anam faced a few hurdles on the day before the shoot but handled everything with complete professionalism. She stayed calm, creative, and made sure our model looked incredible throughout every shot. That kind of dedication truly makes a difference during fast-paced event photography and collaborative shoots.
Chandy – Our Stunning Muse 🌸
Let’s talk about our amazing model, Chandy — she was an absolute delight to work with! As a photographer, one of the most rewarding parts of any photoshoot is collaborating closely with the model to bring the vision to life, and Chandy made that process effortless.
Even though she’s new to modelling, she took direction beautifully — moving with grace, confidence, and a genuine willingness to learn. She followed posing instructions perfectly and wasn’t afraid to try different angles or expressions when I suggested adjustments. That kind of openness and trust between a photographer and a model really makes a difference during a portrait or bridal photoshoot.
Chandy brought her own gown for the shoot, which added a lovely personal touch. The dress was a dreamy pastel blue embellished with delicate silver detailing — elegant, regal, and with just the right amount of flair. The skirt flared gracefully from the hips, giving that beautiful bounce and movement we photographers absolutely love to capture on camera.
Throughout the shoot, I guided her gently, helping her find flattering poses and natural expressions. Sometimes, being a photographer means doing a little more than just clicking the shutter — it’s about building comfort, giving direction, and helping the model feel confident in front of the lens.
Working with Chandy reminded me how important communication and connection are during a photoshoot, whether it’s a bridal session, portrait shoot, or fashion collaboration. When the model feels supported and confident, the photos always reflect that magic.
The Locations – Capturing Bradford’s Beauty
As an award-winning photographer based in Bradford, I always aim to make every photoshoot a mix of creativity, elegance, and storytelling — and this collaboration was no exception!
We started the photoshoot at the stunning venue, where the stage was beautifully decorated with a soft floral theme. It complemented our bridal concept perfectly and gave that dreamy, feminine charm I absolutely adore. (Maybe that’s the typical female photographer in me — I just can’t resist a touch of glamour and romance!)
The second part of our photoshoot took us outdoors to one of Bradford’s gems — Lister Park. I had already visited the park a few days earlier to plan the shots and lighting, because a little preparation always goes a long way when you’re aiming for that flawless finish.
We explored several areas of the park, including the gardens, the flower beds, and of course, the elegant gazebo — each spot offering something unique and full of character. The natural beauty of the park paired so well with the bridal theme, adding a fresh, vibrant feel to the portrait and bridal photography.
Taking on Videography
As many of you know, I’m an award-winning professional photographer — but believe it or not, this project marked my very first step into videography! After receiving countless requests from clients to add video to my photography packages, I finally decided to give it a go.
I’m proud to say that I officially posted my very first few videos on my Quick Qlick Photography TikTok and other social media platforms!
I’ll be honest — while the end result was so rewarding, the process itself was definitely a learning curve. Planning each shot, maintaining camera stability, and capturing smooth transitions was challenging, but also so much fun. This experience has made me even more determined to explore wedding and event videography further.
One of the most heart warming things to come out of this collaboration was seeing how it inspired others. A few people told me they’ve already purchased their own photography and videography equipment after seeing our work — and that makes me so happy! Knowing that my creative journey can motivate others truly means the world to me.
Phoenix Pixel Studios
A few days later, my friends over at Phoenix Pixel Studios worked their magic on my videos. Harry, their talented video editor, took my raw footage and turned it into something absolutely beautiful. I’ll be honest — some of my clips weren’t the steadiest (rookie videographer here), but Harry smoothed everything out flawlessly.
Thanks to his skill and patience, the final videos turned out better than I could have imagined! It’s collaborations like these that remind me how powerful teamwork is in the creative industry — whether it’s bridal photoshoots, portrait sessions, or event coverage.
Every project I take on as a Bradford-based award-winning photographer helps me grow, experiment, and connect with incredible people in the industry. This photoshoot was the perfect blend of elegance, creativity, and collaboration — and I can’t wait to share even more behind-the-scenes moments with you soon.
Final Thoughts
This collaboration reminded me exactly why I love what I do — creating meaningful, expressive imagery through portrait photoshoots, bridal photography, and event photography here in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Every shoot brings something new to learn, someone inspiring to meet, and another chance to tell a story through my lens.
