A Fab Colab
Hello my fellow readers! I recently did a bridal collaboration with many other professionals for our business portfolios, and for content purposes. I personally, have taken many beautiful wedding images for my clients, but was unable to share them due to client privacy. This prompted me to arrange this bridal collaboration. Can I just quickly ask you, do you feel like there are enough female photographers in Bradford, West Yorkshire? I hear this a lot from clients and other professionals in this business but, I wanted to know what your thoughts are? Please let me know in the comment section.
The professionals involved in this bridal collaboration are Timeless Beauty By Kas (MUA), Aisha (Muse), Park Suite (Venue) and Phoenix Pixel Studios (video editor). The Photography and Videography was of course done by yours truly, Quick Qlick Photography!
The ”Lets get ready” part was at a studio where I had set up a white backdrop and a table out for Kas (MUA) so she can work her magic in a comfortable spacious place. The model arrived, and we started filming the tutorial of the bridal collaboration make up. I assisted with angle and positioning the tripod.
Timeless Beauty By Kas MUA
Kas did the make up independently and she did such an amazing job as expected! The look involved a gold and brown smokey eye with dark pink lipstick. For the hair, Kas curled it before tying it up into messy bun and then used a hair piece before clipping the models hair into the bun so that it’s nicely blended. Baring in mind that the MUA is not a professional Hair Stylist but yet did such a brilliant job! The reason behind the hair piece was for adding volume and to be able to handle the natural weight of the bridal scarf.
The bridal jewellery set was provided by a lovely relative. I cant express enough how grateful I am for the people who were willing to provide me with their own jewellery sets for this collaboration because I didn’t have time to arrange a jeweller. The jewellery was also set by Kas.
Aisha Muse
The model was amazing and I absolutely enjoyed working with her. She was easy going and trusted us to make the right decisions even though we constantly asked her for confirmation I regards to her comfortability and approval. She was super excited to work with us considering it was her first time doing something like this. She was able to follow instructions on how to pose and acting instructions by myself and was willing to do a few takes until I felt like I had the shots I needed. Once the model was ready, we packed the things we needed and headed to the Venue in Bradford called The Park Suite.
The Park Suite Venue
This venue is absolutely beautiful and perfect for small intimate events. I had this venue at the top of my list for this collaboration. I first saw this venue when I had recent booking for a client and I just fell in love with it! There is a park right around the corner (approximately 30 seconds walk) called Peel Park but due to time limit and bad weather, we were unable to take some pictures and videos at that location.
This venue can seat uptown three hundred people. The stage had a floral decoration with a seating area perfect for bridal portrait photos. The venue was cleaned and prepared. I asked the owner to set the tables as they normally would for a wedding booking. The venue owner is so friendly. She was very co-operative and very easy to work with for this bridal collaboration! Check out the video I made of this venue at the bottom of this page.
If you have read through my previous blog about the first collaboration I’ve ever done, you will already be aware that Phoenix Pixel Studios have done video editing for me before. Let me tell you, when I say ”they brought my vision to life”, they brought my vision to life! My videos went from good to great! They helped me create a total of three videos. I did A Teaser, A Reveal and The Venue. I can’t say which one is my favourite because they all have their own elegance. Pop over to my social media platforms to check them out. Feel free to leave a comment because as you may already know, feedback is so important to me!
I hope you enjoyed reading this blog all about the bridal collaboration and that you will have a peep at my next blog when it’s published. Please drop me a comment, or contact me if you would like to do a collaboration with me or the other professionals involved in my recent collaboration. See you in my next blog!
